How long does balayage last?
Most guests come back every 8 to 12 weeks for a touch-up or gloss refresh. Because the grow-out is soft, you can stretch it longer than traditional highlights without it looking obvious.
Balayage vs traditional highlights — what's the difference?
Highlights use foils and create more uniform, vivid brightness. Balayage is hand-painted, freeform, and lands softer with a more lived-in look that grows out gracefully.
Will balayage damage my hair?
Any lift involves lightener. We use Aveda formulas and recommend a bond builder when needed to protect the integrity of your hair. Honest answer: healthy hair before is healthy hair after.
Can I go from box dye to balayage in one session?
Usually not. Box dye builds up and reacts unpredictably to lift. We will start with a consultation and may need 2 sessions to get you safely to a balayage finish.
How do I maintain balayage between visits?
Sulfate-free shampoo, weekly hydrating treatment, gloss refresh every 4 to 6 weeks. We will send you home with the exact products that work for your hair.
Can I bring inspiration photos?
Yes, and please do. We use them to align on tone direction, but final result depends on your starting color and hair history. We will tell you honestly what is achievable in one visit.
