At Cut Above, color starts with a real consultation. Jen, our owner, is known for warm, dimensional color that grows out beautifully, and Julie for luminous, lived-in blondes. Whether you want a full head of foils, a single-process refresh, a gloss to revive your tone, or a full color change, we build the service around your hair and your lifestyle.

What Plant-Powered Color Means for You

As an Aveda Concept salon, we use naturally derived color that is gentler on your hair and scalp, with conditioning built in. You leave with shine, healthy ends, and a color that lasts.

  • Vegan, mostly plant-based formulas. Aveda describes its salon color as vegan and 96% naturally derived on average (measured per ISO 16128, from plant, non-petroleum mineral and water sources).
  • Conditioning in the same step. The formula is made with plant-based conditioners, so your hair is nourished while it is being colored, not only afterward.
  • Blended for you, by hand. Your colorist measures and mixes each formula for your hair, the way a painter mixes a palette. It is never a shade pulled off a shelf.
  • Only at an Aveda salon. Aveda professional color is available only through Aveda salons. As an Aveda Concept salon, we carry that philosophy through our color, our treatments and the products we send you home with.

What is the difference between a full and half head of foils?
